About Shogun Blade - Where History Meets the Soul

Headquartered in Westborough, MA, Shogun Blade curates hand-forged Katana and Tang Dao. A tribute to the martial spirit, bridging Longquan and Seki traditions.

In a World of Noise, We Forge Silence.

"Steel remembers. It remembers the fire, the hammer, and the hand that shaped it. When you hold a Shogun Blade, you are not holding a tool—you are holding a memory of a time when honor was weightier than iron."

The Origin

The story of Shogun Blade began not in a boardroom, but beside a roaring forge. Decades ago, my father established our family workshop with a singular, quiet mission: to rescue the ancient soul of sword-making from the fading pages of history.

He taught me that a blade has a heartbeat. He taught me that in the folding of steel, we are not just mixing iron and carbon; we are folding patience, discipline, and spirit into physical form.

Today, I carry this torch. Shogun Blade is more than a business; it is a sanctuary for the martial spirit. In an era of mass production, we stand as guardians of the "Slow Art"—preserving a heritage that refuses to be forgotten.

Two Cities, One Spirit

We bridge the gap between the two "Sacred Grounds" of Eastern metallurgy: Longquan and Seki.

The Soul of Longquan

For 2,500 years, the fires of Longquan have never gone out. Here, we utilize ancient hand-forging techniques to breathe life into high-carbon steel, creating blades that carry the DNA of the Han and Tang dynasties.

The Discipline of Seki

Connected to the heart of the Samurai tradition, our standards are forged in the discipline of Seki. Every curve, every polish, and every fitting is scrutinized to meet the rigorous aesthetic of the Bushido code.

We work with the elders who guard the secrets, and the new generation who bring precision to the flame.

The Encounter

We believe that a sword is not merely bought; it is encountered. It chooses its master as much as the master chooses the blade.

That is why we have curated one of the most comprehensive collections in the world. From a catalog of over 1,000 distinct designs, we strictly select only those with character. Whether you seek the quiet dignity of a reliable Practice Blade, or the breathtaking complexity of a Tamahagane Masterpiece, we have prepared the encounter for you.

Strictly Selected. Rigorously Inspected. Forged for the Unyielding Spirit.

Headquartered in Westborough, MA

While our spirit roams the ancient East, our feet are planted firmly in the modern West. Shogun Blade is proudly headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts.
